Hi Everyone,
We received many gifts this week and I didn't want the time to pass without acknowledging them.
We received 10 dishes with moats that can be filled with water to keep ants out of the food they contain. This will be really helpful as we fight the ant battle again this summer.
We got 2 Kuranda style beds. One is a double decker and one a single. They are made with PVC pipe and washable fabric so the cats can be up off the floor when they are in an enclosure or small space. They are both brand new.
We received 2 cupboards so we can "update" our look and have food and toys in a handier, better looking place. I know, I know. You are saying" What? Do away with our dresser that is missing a drawer/turned into a cat bed? Yes. Yes. It will be hard to let it go...NOT!
We received a 2 drawer file cabinet for our mounting piles of paperwork.
Another donation was 6 large bags of dry cat food that we can feed those hungry kitties. Also, we were given several containers of litter. And several bags of wet food.
We received a food card from Costco in the amount of 25.00.
And since one of our volunteers agreed to do some shopping for The Shack, we now have a...TA-DA!.....sink plug! I am quite excited about this. We have been making do with a rubber thing that constantly slides out of place and lets the water out. We also have a scrub brush, wipes and a backlog of paper towels.
So even though we have been struggling with the URI and Miss Vanessa's condition, there is always something good going on at the same time.
And best of all, we got to save Little Louie and really, all the rest of them. Knowing they have been kept from the fate they would have met on the streets makes it all worthwhile. We are very fortunate and can spend some time counting our blessings.
Thank you for making all of this possible.
Susan
